Sherry Blaha is the owner and artistic director of Sherry's Academy of Dance. This is Mrs. Blaha's 33rd year of operating and teaching at the Academy. In 33 years, Sherry has trained many professional dancers and is proud that many of her students have gone on to be excellent teachers themselves. She has an innovative approach to tap, jazz, modern, and lyrical choreography that has been recognized and awarded at national levels. As a teacher, the love of dance is shown by the training and education which Sherry gives to each student in the classroom.
Liz has been with Sherry's Academy of Dance since 1986. She took her first gymnastics class during the summer of '87. She was part of the competitive dance team and also competed with the gymnastics team. Later in high school she split her time between competitive dance, competitive swimming and competitive cheer and finished her senior year being league MVP in both swimming and cheer. Graduating high school in '98, she then attended Henry Ford CC that summer majoring in Architectural Construction Technology. She graduated following the spring semester of '01. During that time she spent many seasons working with students in the gym, ages 2 - 18. She is eager to spend another season working with the very talented students of Sherry's Academy of Dance.
